Founder and owner of Mountain Support Services, based in beautiful Southern Tasmania.
I started this service from lived experience-knowing how hard it can be to find support that truly listens, adapts, and empowers. At Mountain Support, we offer real-world, flexible, and person-first NDIS support that meets people where they’re at-physically, emotionally, and mentally.
When I’m not working, I’m a family-oriented bloke who loves to spend time in the kitchen.
As a former Navy chef, cooking is still a big passion of mine-and every now and then, I share that love with our members by offering the occasional fresh cooked meal or relaxed one-on-one cooking lesson. It’s one of the simple but powerful ways we build life skills, confidence, and connection.
I believe support work should feel human, not clinical. At Mountain, we walk beside you every step of the way-with respect, care, and a sense of purpose.
After 15 years in hospitality, I made the leap into the disability sector – and I’ve now been with Mountain Support Services for a year now. It’s been one of the most rewarding changes I’ve ever made!
I’m lucky to wear a few hats here – working in administration, service delivery officer, doing support work, and managing our social media (yep, you’re probably reading something I posted!)
What I love most about my role is the variety – no two days are ever the same. Whether I’m supporting our amazing members out in the community or behind the scenes helping things run smoothly. One of my favorite things about support work is building genuine connections with the people we support. I feel proud to be part of a team that truly makes a difference.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and taking walks with my cheeky mini dachshund.
I’ve recently joined the team and I’m really enjoying getting to know everyone. What I love most about this job is being able to help people feel more confident and independent in their day-to-day lives – it’s incredibly rewarding.
Outside of work, you’ll usually find me in the gym, throwing a few punches in a boxing session, out fishing, or spending time outdoors with my dogs. I’m all about staying active, having a laugh, and enjoying the little things in life.
I’ve been working in the disability support sector for 18 years, and it’s something I’m truly passionate about. Recently, I joined Mountain Support Services as a mentor, where I focus on helping clients build life skills, create enjoyable experiences, and stay connected with their community.
Outside of work, I’ve always had a strong interest in classic cars, especially muscle cars, and I enjoy attending car shows whenever I can. I’m also a big fan of horror movies and heavy metal music. When I’m not working or mentoring, you’ll usually find me at a concert, exploring car events, or relaxing with a great film.
I’m excited to be part of the MSS team and to contribute my experience and knowledge to support our clients in achieving their goals.
I’ve been part of the Mountain Support Services team for over two years now. After semi-retiring, I decided to return to work to support clients on the North West Coast – and I’m so glad I did.
I’ve known Steve (Boss man!) for over 20 years and was more than happy to join the
MSS team when the opportunity came along.
“The hours I work are truly rewarding – there’s nothing more fulfilling than supporting someone and contributing to their wellbeing.
When I’m not working, you’ll likely find me getting creative with art, spending time in the garden, or diving into a good home renovation project – just a few of the many hobbies I enjoy!
I’ve been part of the Mountain Supports team for quite some time, and I truly love my job. Every day brings something different-whether it’s meeting new people or trying something new, it’s always exciting.
